Africa by National Geographics

A new adventure is beginning.

I am leaving Houston on Monday, Feb. 20th ( a rainy President's Day) for Lisbon by way of Paris to meet up with the National Geographics folks for adventure of a private jet around Africa.

The PLAYERS : ME, Julie Wooley and Lorri Mandekic, adopting the role of the Three Fabulous Women!. Lorri is in Houston with me as she flew in last night from Las Vegas. We promptly went to the new hot spot in Houston,  Le Colonial , a French Vietnamese restaurant and had a marvelous dinner of Gulf Shrimp in green curry sauce plus our Tito"s Martini.

This am we had to run to the camera store to make sure we knew how to use our new Canon cameras-(Camera Exchange), then to the Apple Store to buy more connectors and then home to try to figure out what we were doing and waiting on the driver to take us to the airport for our non-stop flight to Paris and then to Lisbon.  The first part of the flight was uneventful, thank goodness, but after landing in Paris ( which we were late in arriving), the departure was the plane was a disaster as the jetway was locked so we had to wait for it to be opened, then going through TSA again, which this time was a nightmare.  They decided to check 3 of our carry-on bags and we had 5 minutes to get to our plane.  We did make by the hair of our chiny chin chin! But no bags until 11 pm that evening.  Didn't slow us down but a little damper on changing clothes but martinis taste good either way.
