Tuscan Experience October 17-25, 2014

This whole experience started in Aspen Colorado the end of July when I bought an auction item at Challenge Aspen.  It was billed as "The Tuscan Dream-Vacation in a Renaissance Painting.

The brochure stated that I would live like Etruscan Royalty in a spectacular villa with a private cook for breakfast and dinner.  This package was for 12 people, but there is 5 of us going. Included was a wine tour, cooking class and lunch at the vineyard.  We  are also doing olive milling, truffle hunting, wine stomping, shopping and general tourist stuff.  

We are staying at Villa Santa Maria which overlooks the town of Cortona.  This is where they made the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun".
We have a large yard and a swimming pool. This is our home away from home for one week.
