A Photo day of  Florence

We started our day with a homemade apple coffee cake, fruit, ham and cheeses, yogurt and breads.

It is about an hour and half ride into Florence from the Villa so off we go with Stephano, our driver.  Once we arrive in Florence we meet with Gianna, our guide who gives us the quick tour of the Duomo, the cathedral and of course we have too go see THE DAVID!!! We are so lucky because we arrive early, get special tickets, and viola!! we are in. You really are amazed at the beauty of David, the details and the sheer size of the statue.  Michelangelo's greatest sculpture!!! I also had forgotten about the sheer size of his hands in relations to the body and he is referred to as "The Giant"

From the Academy, we are off to see the Duomo Doors, and in the square we encounter the gypsies who are selling "selfie sticks" and of course we have to buy them. Then by foot we go to the Point Vecchio and the bridge with all of the gold shops and then finally to lunch in the middle of town at the Savoy Cafe right on mother square.

Our afternoon is filled with shopping at the outlet mall, which is Prada, Gucci, Pucci ( you get the idea) Pretty cool  because they have all of the latest styles ( not last seasons").
