Wellington

We are in Wellington and it is still Valentine's Day.

What a day we had-Wellington is a City of coffee, 
 cultural, culinary, and craft beer.
We started out with our guide Fiona and drove down the wharf to the coffee roaster, Lambros at MOJO Coffee. Here the beans come from all over the world and he makes up a special roasts. He will not tell you his blend, but it is delicious and it was fun to watch the beans roasting.  The coffee smell was outstanding! From here we started our walking tour of Wellington and eating all the way!  Next stop-Gelismo's homemade Gelato by Graham!


Graham had made a gorgonzola gelato for a restaurant to go with a poached pear tart- we tried the gelato but had to imagine the tart!
Definitely foodie material- from salted caramel( which is big over here) to passion kiwi fruit and even a cucumber!
We also got to taste it all, which we did and tun has a take-a-way!

Walking, Walking to our next stop took us through the middle of town and over a bridge that was built to connect town to the harbor. Here there are Maori sculptures in bronze and in wood and they all tell a story.
All over Wellington there is outdoor art!

This was pretty cool!!
